Cornwall Council (Together for Families) and a number of partners have come together to create an activity booklet for children, young people and families in Cornwall. The booklet is packed full of activity ideas for families to carry out including low cost crafts and recipes.

The activity booklet can be downloaded via the below link:

Doing December Differently Activity Booklet

Many families may not have the contents readily available in their home or be able to afford to purchase items to create crafts and to be able to do the activities included in the booklet. To provide equality and to support more families to be able to access and participate together throughout the month of December, Together for Families have worked with partners to put together December craft packs which will include a printed version of the activity booklet and materials to participate in the activities inside.

There are lots of fun activities to get involved with at Liskeard School this Christmas, why not try your hand at Welly Wanging on Friday 4th or bake some treats for your tutor group on Monday 7th for the Christmas Bake Off. Perhaps Giant Sprout Slinging is right up your street on Thursday 10th or maybe you are more suited to making others laugh and come up with a Christmas Joke on Wednesday 16th. Whatever your talents, there will be something for you to get involved with and have some fun!

Don't forget, we are also collecting items for the Foodbank, bring these items into school and take to your HOY or give to your tutor.

At the eleventh hour on the eleventh day of the eleventh month – we will remember them.

On Friday 9th October our school will be taking part in ‘Hello Yellow’ in support of Young Minds for World Mental Health Day. We know that our communities and young people have been going through a challenging time, and it can be hard for us to sometimes feel positive. The message from World Mental Health Day is that together we can look out for each other and feel hopeful about the future.
