Letter for parents about COVID-19 symptoms

Public Health England have produced a letter for schools to distribute to parents which explains when a person requires a coronavirus test and what the symptoms of coronavirus are.

Dear Parents/Carers,

Covid Tests

Should your child show Covid symptoms, please see the advice below about getting tested:

The Government have also stated that there will soon be the option to book tests using an app. Once we have more information about this, we will update you.

Dear Parent/Carer

With Liskeard School and Community College fully reopen, the expectation is that all students attend school as normal. We are aware however that there may be a need for some students and families to isolate for a period of time due to the following reasons:

  • Your child has any symptoms of coronavirus (a high temperature, a new, continuous cough or a loss or change to their sense of smell or taste).
  • Your child has tested positive for coronavirus.
  • Someone in the household has symptoms or has tested positive.
  • Someone in your support bubble has symptoms or has tested positive.
  • You’ve been told by NHS Test and Trace that you've been in contact with a person with coronavirus.

Dear Parents/Carers,

I'm really pleased with how the term has started and it has been great to see the students back in the classroom. Year 7 are settling in really well and the other students are doing a good job adapting to the changes we have had to make.

I would be grateful for your support with the following as they really help the school run smoothly:
