Dear Parents/Carers,

A number of schools and colleges across the country have decided to cancel GCSE and A Level Results Days and instead only send exam results home this year. With students not having experienced a proper end to their year, I didn't want them to not have the opportunity to experience Results Day either. So, although it won't be quite the same as it would have been if students had actually sat their exams, we are intending to hold Results Days as per the dates on our calendar.

To minimise risk, results will be available from the quad, so we can remain outdoors, weather permitting. The days will run as follows:

Thursday 13th August - Year 12 & 13

Results will be available to collect from 9.30am. Please enter via the blue gates and make your way to the tables in the quad. Results will be ordered alphabetically by surname. Various members of staff will be on hand to answer any queries and to help advise on future plans, e.g. university offers. Should parents or students have any queries about individual grades awarded, there will be the opportunity to make an appointment for Friday 14th August to have a proper discussion with a member of the senior team.

Thursday 20th August - Year 11 (and Y12/13 GCSE re-sits)

Results for students with surnames beginning with A to L will be available to collect from 9.30am.

Results for students with surnames beginning with M to Z will be available to collect from 9.50am.

Please enter via the blue gates and make your way to the tables in the quad. Results will be ordered alphabetically by surname. Various members of staff will be on hand to answer any queries and to help advise on future plans.

From 9.45am to 2pm students will be able to enrol into our Sixth Form. Enrolment will also be possible on Friday 21st from 9am to 12pm.

Should parents or students have any queries about individual grades awarded, there will be the opportunity to make an appointment for Friday 21st to have a proper discussion with a member of the senior team.

Not able to make it?

If you would like someone else to collect results on your behalf, written consent must be provided.

Any results not collected by 12pm will be emailed to the students' school email accounts by the end of the day and posted home that afternoon.

Boris Johnson wants to talk to school leavers...

If you haven't heard already, on Friday, 10th July at 10am, the Prime Minister will be giving an address to all school leavers which will be broadcast on Facebook and YouTube

Regards,

Alex Lingard
