Dear Parents and Carers,

There was a lovely atmosphere in school on the Friday before half-term; as year 11 celebrated their last day together as a year group, and what a great year group they have been.  Their absence has been noticeable since we returned from the break and we are certainly missing them. I would like to mention how proud we are particularly of their conduct over the last couple of months. They have worked with us as a school and they were complimented on their exemplary conduct in the internal tests by invigilators and their teachers. I hope they are enjoying their new routine and we look forward to seeing them soon for a range of different reasons.

Dear Parents/Carers

We are planning to deliver breast awareness sessions this month from the 12th June in your child’s PSHE lesson.

We will be using materials developed by CoppaFeel!, the UKs first breast cancer charity to solely create awareness amongst young people, with the aim of instilling the knowledge and tools they need to get to know their bodies. Although a serious matter, the message is delivered in a light-hearted way, empowering young people to kick start healthy habits for life. We hope to answer any questions the students might have on the day, but there may be some information or issues your child may wish to discuss further at home.

Dear Parents/Carers,

As you know, we have been sending out twice weekly text reminders requesting that students complete their CV19 tests at home. The government has asked us again to ensure we are doing all we can to encourage all students to routinely test themselves each week. This is therefore another polite reminder.

Dear Parents/Carers,

Another half-term seems to have flown by. It has been a very busy one gathering the final pieces of evidence to ensure all of our Y11 and Y13 students get the grades they deserve. I must thank all of our teachers for the additional work this has created and their professionalism in how they have handled the process. A special thanks to Mrs Penberthy for overseeing this huge task. Congratulations needs to go to the students for the way they have approached their final tests and the resilience they have shown throughout these last months. It has been a very emotional day saying farewell to them today. Mrs Dove, Head of Year 11, is also saying 'au revoir' as she goes on maternity leave next week. We wish her all the best.

Dear Parents/Carers

Due to safety concerns for the students, one of the pick-up points for bus services LIS-104 & 105 has been reviewed and amendments to the routes have been made. It has become necessary to transfer some of the pick-up points between services in order to accommodate all students.

This change will become affective after the half-term break.
