On the 12th March 2014 we set out on our trip to London. We left school at 10:30am. The few hours on the train were definitely worth the wait. When we got to London we went straight onto the tube to High Street Kensington where we walked to the youth hostel to unpack our bags. The youth hostel was really nice and the beds were really comfortable.

The first evening we went to see the West End show Charlie And The Chocolate Factory. It was a great experience and a brilliant performance. I personally liked the Umpa Lumpas because they were very funny. After the show we travelled back on the tube to the youth hostel where we had an hour to get ready for bed and go to sleep.

Unfortunately on the first night most of the boys were too hyper to go to sleep because they were looking forward to what we had scheduled for the next day. We woke up really early and had showers and breakfast and then headed out to Heston School where we spent a few hours getting to know some people and learning the differences between our lives.

Next on the list were the museums, first the Natural History Museum and then the Science Museum. The museums were great but I thought the Science Museum was better because Samuel Herrington and I broke the Science Museum record on one of the challenges. I was very proud of myself.

When we had finished in the museums we went on the tube to the London Eye. When we got out of the tube we saw Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament and of course the Eye. When we got onto the Eye we were taking pictures of everything. We even saw Buckingham Palace and the Shard. After the London Eye we took a hike over to Chinatown where we could spend up to £15 each on anything we wanted!

After the meal we walked round Leicester Square where we went into the M&Ms shop. We had never seen so many M&Ms before! After a long day we finally got back on the tube back to the youth hostel were we all had a good rest because everyone was worn out.

On the final day we were able to go shopping. We split up into groups and went shopping around High Street Kensington and bought souvenirs. Then we collected our cases, went down to the tube for the last time and journeyed to the main train station where we had a bit of lunch and got on another train for the long ride home.

When we got to Exeter though we had to get a private bus because there were too many of us. Luckily because we had our own bus it took us right back to Liskeard Station where we got off, met our parents, and went home to bed. What a great trip we had.

Thank you Mr Pollard, Miss Roberts and Mrs Carlin.
