Ten students from year 8 have had their work selected to be submitted for a competition run by The Leach Pottery in St Ives.

The criteria was to design a sharing pot for a celebrity, somebody from history or the imagination and to explain why the choice had been made.

The submissions from all the year 8 students were of a very high standard overall but the chosen pieces were selected on the basis that the students had followed the criteria. If you have watched any of the Great Pottery Throw Down programmes you will have seen that some of the most talented potters didn't make it, simply because they had not followed the brief.

We wish all 10 students the best of luck in the competition.
