Liskeard School and Community College are absolutely delighted with their A level and GCSE results. The results represent a substantial improvement on last year’s achievements with 84% achieving 5 or more A* - C grades. Headteacher, Donna Bryant, said: ‘These results are down to the sheer hard work and dedication of students and staff. The strategies we have been working on have really paid dividends. These results, coupled with the superb A level results last week clearly show a marked and sustained upward trend across the past 3 years and this is set to continue.’

84% A* -C grades were achieved at A level – some of the best results across Cornwall and well above the national figure. All bar two students gained their first choice university places, with two students going on to Cambridge to study Maths.

The whole staff work really hard and pull together to ensure that every student has the maximum chance of success. ‘Behind the headline figures are individual achievements for individual young people who have given this their all, working hard in class and attending after school and holiday revision classes to ensure success. Many of them have achieved beyond their own expectations and are already looking forward to continuing their studies with us in the 6th form.  Our huge congratulations to them all.’
