Liskeard School and Community College had a full day of charity fundraising for Comic Relief in March with huge amounts of fun had by all, but more importantly, a lot of money was raised for good causes.

Staff and students paid a pound to come into school wearing ‘something red’ which had a number of original and superb interpretations. There were many red items of clothing and accessories as well as the traditional red nose. There was also a Mario, morph suits and dyed red hair.

There were numerous fundraising activities across the day. Kirsty Milne and Abi Petty held cake sales at break and lunch with some amazing and Comic Relief style home made cakes being sold to staff and students. There was also a cake sale in the new hall and a few renditions of the Harlem Shake to the amusement of the students.

In the ALC at lunch time Zahra Lee gave Connor Champion the full makeup treatment to raise money and students set up a ‘blow your nose’ challenge where the aim was to blow a line of red noses off a table in as quick a time as possible.

Over all it was a great day with lots of fun but, more importantly, in total a fantastic £995.99 was raised for Comic Relief. Well done everyone on a great effort!
