A group of 8 intrepid students and 2 brave teachers ventured on board The Island Trust pilot cutter Pegasus for a week's challenges.  We sailed all through the night and watched dawn rise as we approached St Mary's on The Isles of Scilly.  We jumped off the boat and swam off the coast of Cornwall and braved jellyfish on St Agnes.

All the students honed their tea making skills as well as their navigation and knot tying.  There were lumpy night passages to brave and lots of steering.  Hoisting the sails took massive amounts of energy as this was an old-fashioned style boat with no winches to assist!

We all had an amazing time - mostly due to the excellence, bravery, courage, resilience and, most of all, kindness of the students.  I'm sure this is a Challenge Week that will be remembered forever.

This years Prom was a huge success. We held the event back in school with staff members waited on the tables.
The guests arrived in style and were greeted by parents and pupils. After drinks in the quad area a meal was served and the disco began.

We travelled to Portsmouth and travelled overnight with Brittany Ferries.

Day 1: Visiting the Eiffel Tower (All Students made it up!), A River Boat Trip, Sacre Coeur, Montmartre, La Defense. Plus all 48 of us using the metro!

Day 2: Disney!!! Some were thrill seekers, others took in the whole ‘Disney’ atmosphere!

Staff enjoyed a ride on Big Thunder Mountain!

We have a wonderful group of students that have made us so proud and have been so kind, resilient and courageous!

The Sixth Form Prom for Liskeard Sixth Form was held at St Mellion International Resort where everyone was able to enjoy the warm sunny evening and reminisce over their shared experiences.

After a lovely meal the students danced the night away and relaxed after the busy months previous when they had been working towards their exams.

The last day and a half of term (Mon 22nd and Tues 23rd) will be non-uniform. We will be asking for a donation of £1 from each student (in total, not £1 each day), which will go to the charity Scope (the charity Mr Bond, music teacher, has pledged to raise £2000 for when he runs the London Marathon next year).
