Dear Students,

It is with the greatest of pleasure that I welcome you to the next stage of your education. I can honestly say from my own experience, the two years I had at sixth form were two of my fondest. Spending time with my closest friends, learning about the things that interested me with like-minded people and having greater freedoms were just some of the highlights.

I am proud to say that our sixth form college is outstanding. As you know, we are rated in the top 8% in England in terms of how much our students have achieved. Here, you will be supported, challenged, cared for and listened to. Because we are smaller than most colleges we are able to offer personalised support second to none. Over time, you will realise how important and valuable this is. I don't want to sound arrogant, but we know what to do to get the best out of you and we do it well.

Whilst we don't yet know whether you will all meet the grade requirements to get on the courses you have applied for, it is important that you prepare for September and make use of the next few months. On Monday 1st June, Mrs Fisher will email you with some 'transition work' for each of the subjects you have told us you'd like to take. The purpose of this work, is as the name suggests, to get you ready for the demands of A Levels (and other level 3 courses). I'm sure you'll find the work of interest and engaging. To help you organise the work we have set you some interim deadlines along the way. Please put these in your calendars/diaries so you don't forget. After receiving the email from Mrs Fisher, your prospective teachers will be in touch to support you as required.

Below is a link to a 5 minute welcome video, caringly put together by our 'dream team' (Mrs Hubartt, Mrs Fry and Mrs Fisher). I hope you enjoy it.

Welcome from the Sixth Form Team

If you have any problems, any questions or queries, please contact Mrs Hubartt, Mrs Fry or Mrs Fisher who would all be delighted to help.
