Geography students from Liskeard School & Community College recently visited the Devon village of Princetown. The Year 8 students are currently studying national parks and tourism so a visit to the village, situated in the Dartmoor National Park, was the perfect location to further their studies.

The main purpose of the trip was to research tourist behaviour and to practice fieldwork skills the students will need at GCSE and A Level.

Everyone had a fun and educational day visiting the visitor centre, walking up the entrance to the moors to complete a field sketch, recording shops and buildings in the main street and discussing the history of the prison.
